Australia:
The Australian cricket team is regarded as the leading international teams of the world. It is indisputably predominant team for almost the entire decade. Australia was one amongst the top two nations besides England. New Zealand:
New Zealand is a country which consists of many small islands and two large islands in south western Pacific Ocean. New Zealand is known as Aotearoa in Maori language, which is the land of long white cloud. New Zealand and Australia are separated by Tasman Sea in northwest which is across 1,242 miles (2,000 km). The neighbors to north are Fiji, Tonga and New Caledonia. The role of New Zealand cricket team is to provide direction and support in the game of cricket within its country.
India:
One if the highest paid team in the world is the Indian cricket team (in sponsorships). The BCCI is the main governing body of this cricket team. On 25th June 1932, the team made its first Test appearance against England at Lord’s and attained the sixth position in the table of Test nations. The team won the World Cup in 1983 and was able to make only to the finals in 2003. It is considered as on of the top teams in the world, therefore attained second position in the table of Indian Cricket Council of Test nations.
Pakistan:
The national team which represents Pakistan is the Pakistan Cricket team. It is governed by Pakistan Cricket Board. It is the member of one day and Test in international status.
Sri Lanka:
National cricket team which represents Sri Lanka is Sri Lankan Cricket team. It is governed by Sri Lankan cricket board. In 1975, the team made its first international appearance. The team surprisingly won the World Cup in the year 1996. After this the team is being viewed in different angle, especially the bowling of Muttaiah Muralitharan and Chaminda Vass which backed up the batting of Aravinda de Silva and Sanath Jayasuriya.
England:
Wales and England represents the England Cricket team, which is governed by ECB (Wales and England cricket Board). England originated the one day international and Test cricket. In 1877, the team made its first test appearance at Melbourne against Australia and first one day appearance at Melbourne against Australia in 1971. The team played predominantly in the international cricket and was the strongest side in fielding in cricket’s history.
West Indies:
West Indies team ruled the world cricket for many years and was undefeated for 15 years in Test series. But this team has suffered many looses in recent times. The team is looking forward to perform outstandingly under the captaincy of Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
Bangladesh:
The game which has passionate and massive following in Bangladesh is cricket. Strong domestic league on many occasions saw Test players from other countries. The team is now eligible to play test matches, by joining elite group of countries. The team is nick named as Tigers which was named after Royal Bengal Tigers.
Ireland:
Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland represents the Ireland cricket team. The team was placed in the tenth position in International Cricket Council rankings after they had a tie against Zimbabwe in 2007 cricket World Cup.
